The Professional Difference:
Why Choose Happy Tails?
Why Choose Happy Tails?
Often times, when choosing a dogwalker or petsitter, families make the mistake of prioritizing price over professionalism, safety, and value. Many people ask, "Why would I pay one rate when I can have someone else do it for cheaper?" The answer is this:
No minor price break can replace the safety, experience, and dedication you'll receive with us.
Happy Tails values every client on a personal level. Caring for your beloved pet isn't a side gig, it's a full-time commitment. We're up to date on the latest animal-related news, safety practices, and local area conditions. We strive to stay in constant communication regarding your pet's care, and always put their best interests first. Whether they're in our care every day or once a year, we understand that each interaction is important and can have a lasting impact on their well being.
Unfortunately, many companies will advertise low prices but then overload the number of animals that they can safely or sufficiently care for in order to be profitable. Further, there are often hidden fees: Advertised low rates usually act as a distraction from additional charges.
So How Do You Know Who to Trust with Your Pet?
Here are some questions to consider before trusting someone with your pet's care:
*Can I fully trust this person with both my pet's life and keys to my home?
Happy Tails has an excellent safety track record. We are comprised of only trusted professionals with extensive animal experience and spotless reputations.
*In the event of a pet medical emergency, will they know what to do?
During your initial meet and greet, we will gather important information including your pet's medical history and emergency contact information. We know which veterinary hospitals are reliable, how to proactively avoid dangerous situations, and will keep you immediately informed about any concerns.
*How much experience do they have? Do they spot warning signs or wait until a problem has already arisen?
We pride ourselves on our years of experience handling animals. This experience carries knowledge that helps us make the best judgments to keep your pet safe and notice any warning signs before they become full blown problems.
*Will my pet be treated with respect?
Trust and respect are the foundation of our work with your pet. Every action we take is in your pet's best interest, and we will always communicate any concerns we may have.
*Will they prevent my dog from getting loose or into a dogfight? Would they know how to safely break up a fight?
Happy Tails has extremely high safety standards, including backup attachments on leashes and mandatory checks that collars and walk gear are properly fitted. We take every measure to avoid dogfights, including a policy that dogs have plenty of space and are not pressured into uncomfortable face to face greetings with unfamiliar dogs or people. If a fight ever were to occur, we are up to date on the safest ways to intervene. At no point will your dog be off leash in an environment with uncontrollable factors (barring your explicit consent on a case by case basis)
*For dog walks, will they encourage my dog's good behavior (or allow bad/dangerous behaviors to develop)?
We always prioritize your dog's best interest and encourage your dog to excel. Any behavioral concerns we have will be communicated to you immediately, and we will help connect you with professional trainers that we trust and respect who will readily offer their guidance.
