***Safety is always our top priority
During your initial "meet and greet" appointment we'll ask important questions, build your pet's profile, and gather emergency/medical information. Please inform us of any relevant behavioral or health issues (e.g. leash reactivity, allergies, etc) so we can proactively avoid and prevent dangerous situations.
***Dogs will stay safely leashed with backup gear
All dogs will be secured with back up collars, clips, or leashes (depending on their normal gear). Dogs can escape from slipping out of loose collars and ill-fitted harnesses, especially if they are out with a non-family member. To keep your pup safe, Happy Tails will always have a backup in place that is both comfortable and reliable for your pet. At no point will your dog be off leash outside of your home.

***Dog Walk Minimum
Dogs benefit the most from consistency and repetition, which is why we ask for a minimum of 3 walks per week. This will help the dogs be comfortable and cooperate as a pack, as well as understand what is expected from them behaviorally.
***Key Policy
Please have a set of keys for us, tested and ready, at the time of your initial complimentary meet and greet consultation. We must have a set of your keys in order to provide services
***To give every client top-notch service, we carefully coordinate our schedules
Dogwalk requests for the upcoming week should be submitted no later than Saturday afternoons. During the busy holiday seasons in particular, it's ideal to notify us of dates not needed for dogwalks as far in advance as possible. We'll try to honor short notice requests but cannot guarantee availability.
As a courtesy, please inform us of cancellations as soon as possible.
Dog walk cancellations must be made by 9:00AM on the day of appointment. Last minute cancellations are subject to full charge (unless there is a personal emergency or emergency veterinarian appointment).
***Payments are appreciated by the following times:
Dog Walks:
Weekly payments are appreciated on Friday for the current week that is finishing
***We are not groomers or veterinarians, but we love to offer help!
Walk clients receive basic leash manner promotion during walks, but if you are looking for specialized training and behavior modification, we will connect you with our expert training colleague!
We are always happy to assist with any questions, but please consult a specific professional in the appropriate field if necessary. We can refer you to great contacts!
***We'd love to include your pet's photos on our website, Instagram, and Facebook pages!
We love fun pictures! No private information will ever be included, just photos with your pet's name and a brief caption. If you don't want to participate just let us know.
